About Me

I am a fully qualified, accredited counsellor (Dip. Couns.) working with Transactional Analysis; a form of Psychotherapy. Visit the FAQ to learn more about: What is Psychotherapy

An intro from Lynn

As a child I didn’t understand my environment, I knew it was different to those of my school friends; lacking on so many levels. It was those difficult times that ignited a desire in me to do something different.

As a young adult I turned to a large corporate in search of belonging. I found this intense and stressful and I never really felt I had found my ‘thing’.

I have always been a lover of learning and, as I matured this desire to learn became more about discovering who I am and how to grow and develop as a woman. This resulted in a sense of living and ‘taking-charge’ of the direction I wanted my life to go in. My relationships with others flourished as a result.

Looking back now, it was probably writing on the wall that I would ‘grow-up’ to be a cousellor.

I believe it’s the pain, loss and trauma which I have experienced which helps me support and empower others to achieve the change and fulfilment they desire.

It’s essential that you feel listened to and safe and I believe my job is to provide a confidential and non-judgemental space, nurturing an open and honest relationship which builds trust and provides a container in which to explore growth and change.

I am happy to share in the process and rationale behind my work to support you to make the changes you want from our sessions together.

Memberships or governing bodies

I am a member of UKATA (United Kingdom Association of Transactional Analysis) and I am accredited by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society. I am bound by the ethics of the above organisations. I undertake frequent supervision of my work and my passion for learning draws me to continually develop my skills as a therapist.

I used a few forms of therapy over my life but my time with Lynn was genuinely life changing. Her knowledge, care and support really helped me move forward and integrate my past. I feel mentally and emotionally stronger following my time with therapy. I often think back on the learning and exploring my past that Lynn supported me with.

What really helped me most was the way she adapted to the way I process, feel and see the world. It truly felt like this therapy was bespoke to me. I would honestly recommend Lynn to anyone seeking support. She is professional, kind and challenging when you need it. I looked for a long time for the right therapist and Lynn was exactly who I needed.
